Biography
Jess Perry-Martin is an artist, educator, mentor, and mother. With a deep passion for creativity, she thrives in small spaces, tight-knit communities, and the world of education. Though her time is limited, her dedication to fostering creativity is boundless. For Jess, being an artist is about making room for ideas to flourish and allowing images to flow freely, wherever inspiration strikes.

How does time both compress and expand? These works are part of a larger series exploring the unreliability of memory, experience, and geological time. Rock formations, with their layered sediments, record wind, storms, and the paths most traveled. Yet, the visible layers reveal only a fraction of the centuries beneath, much like how my memories of hikes, laughter, and family become condensed into fleeting photos or hazy recollections of life-changing moments. Can we trust our memories? And yet, here we are—left only with what we remember, what we call unforgettable, what we try to hold onto.
